Introduction to the Business

Tipaklong Sustainable Mobility Corporation (“Tipaklong”) provides an affordable, safe, environment-friendly shared mobility system to customers through bike and e-scooter rental services. As a pioneer and leader in micro-mobility in the country, it envisions to enable micro-mobility in its growing communities in various cities.

Tipaklong currently focuses on two distinct Business-to-Customers (B2C) segments: Community Partnerships (in low to medium income communities) and Shared Mobility Systems in campuses, townships, industrial parks and other developments.  In the medium term, the company will be expanding its services to a subscription-based model via its the Business-to-Business (B2B) which aims to cater to various corporates, government agencies and LGUs.

Our Share Mobility infrastructure is designed to address customer needs efficiently

Tipaklong started in June 2020 as Tipaklong Bike and Scooter Rentals registered with DTI and in April 2021 was formally registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission as Tipaklong Sustainable Mobility Corporation.

Metro Manila ranked 2nd in the world as the worst traffic in 2020, estimating an average of 53% extra time wasted in traffic. The company started renting out bikes and scooters in June 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Eventually, the company has  partnered with various community partners to reach out to its target customers to meet the growing demand for an alternate mode of transportation. Beyond the lockdowns and post-pandemic economic rebound, demand has shifted to a safe, affordable and sustainable means of mobility.

In the last two years, our social enterprise model provided livelihood to 8 community partners, helped our customers conveniently travel more than 62,500 times in 2022, all the while benefiting our environment.

This business model allowed the company to engage the various stakeholders to support the long-term eventual shift to sustainable mobility.  Tipaklong is working on expanding its shared mobility systems in campuses and other integrated developments to offer shared mobility services (SMS). As of December 2022, the company is in close coordination with the University of the Philippines (UP) to launch its first SMS in UP-Los Banos, the country’s biggest campus with the size of more than 1,200 hectares.
